Library Cards

Any child over the age of five who is a Newburyport resident may get a library card. If you have a library card from another Massachusetts library you may use it in the Newburyport Public Library.

Homework Help

We can assist children with choosing materials for school assignments and choosing a book for a book report.  We welcome the opportunity to work in cooperation with schools and teachers.

Book Lists

We have a binder of suggested reading on various topics such as: new baby, potty training, pirates, trucks, trains, and other areas of interest.

School Visits and Tours

We welcome classes to come and visit the library. Please call ahead to arrange a date and time.

Display Case and Art Work

The Children's Room has a display case in which we showcase various collections. If you have a collection that you would like to show off, call us to arrange a date. We also display art work from the local nursery and elementary schools as well as children's framed art work on our Art Wall.
