Teen Poetry Contest Begins

The Newburyport Public Library is pleased to announce its 1st annual Teen Poetry Contest. Teens in grades 7 through 12 are invited to submit one original poem not exceeding 30 lines on any topic from Monday, March 15th, until Friday, April 9th, at 5:00 pm. Judges from the library and community will choose one winner and one honorable mention from each grade level, and all winning poets will be invited to read their work at The Teen Poetry Contest Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, April 20th, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm in the Library's Program Room.
