Do you have a new eReader? Are you eager to get started downloading free library eBooks? This is the program for you! Learn how to get eBooks from Overdrive, the library's digital collection. You will learn how to install and authorize the software needed, browse the eBook collection, select and download an eBook, and access Overdrive Help. ALA Announces Award Winners!

The 2012 Newbery Award for best children's fiction book has been awarded to Jack Gantos for "Dead End in Norvelt." The Caldecott Award has been given to illustrator Chris Raschka for his "A Ball fro Daisy." Free Downloads!

Looking for free Audio Book and eBook downloads for your portable devices? The Library offers free eBook and Audio Book downloads from Overdrive to library card holders. The Overdrive Media Console app is available for your iPhone, iPod touch, and Android. How do you get started? Use your Newburyport library card to access these services from the NPL website - just go to "Online Resources." Join us on February 6th for a workshop on using Overdrive to get free eBooks for your eReader. We also offer free music downloads from Freegal Music Service.
