The Friends of the Newburyport Public Library purchases group membership passes to a number of museums in the Boston area. These passes are available by advanced reservation and can be booked online - use the links above - or by calling the library's Circulation Desk, Children's Room or Information Services department. Museum passes can be reserved up to 60 days in advance, and are provided free of charge to anyone who holds a valid MVLC library card. Passes can be picked up to 48 hours prior to use, and must be picked up by 10:00 AM on the day reserved. Passes should be returned at the end of the day of use to either the Circulation Desk, or in the book drop outside the library's main entrance if the library is closed. Currently the Friends have made available the following passes: Museum of Fine Arts, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Peabody Essex Museum, Museum of Science, Children's Museum - Boston, Children's Museum - Portsmouth, and Zoo New England.
