Event Book to Film Adaptations We Love: "A Streetcar Named Desire" (PG)

Join us as we celebrate some of the best movie adaptations of great literature! Every day this week at 2:30pm, we will be showing a film adaptation of a popular piece of literature. Today we are screening the 1951 film "A Streetcar Named Desire" (PG) starring Vivien Leigh, Marlon Brando and Karl Malden. This is an adaptation of the 1947 play by Tennessee Williams. Run time: 2 hours 2 minutes.

This film won four Academy Awards, including Best Actress in a Leading Role for Leigh and Best Supporting Actor for Malden, and was nominated for eight.
