Event Stephen King Film Series: "Misery" (R)

October 2, 2019 | 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Join us as we celebrate some of the greatest films based the works on Stephen King! Every day this week at 6:00 pm, we will be showing one of Stephen King’s scariest adaptations. Today we are screening the 1990 film "Misery" (R) starring James Caan, Kathy Bates, and Richard Farnsworth.

Run time 1 hour 47 minutes.

"Novelist Paul Sheldon does not remember the blinding blizzard that sent his car spinning off the road. Nor does he remember being nursed back from unconsciousness. All he remembers is waking up in the home of Annie Wilkes, a maniacal fan who is bent on keeping her favorite writer as her personal prisoner, forever." Kathy Bates won the 1991 Best Actress award at both the Academy Awards and Golden Globes for her role as the deranged Annie Wilkes.

Popcorn will be served, and patrons are welcome to bring snacks. Come and enjoy the theater-like screen and sound system with fellow film buffs. This free event will be held in the Program Room and all are welcome!
