Please join library staff for a focus group to discuss programming ideas for teens and adults who are on the autism spectrum, have cognitive disabilities, have dementia, and/or have visual or hearing impairment. We want to offer fun and interesting programming which would be targeted toward the above audience, but we need community feedback. Whether you have a similar disability yourself or care for someone who does, we would love to hear from you. During this focus group we will discuss programming ideas, ways to improve the library experience for people with disabilities, and what would be beneficial to the target audience.
If you have or work with someone who has a disability not mentioned above, and you have ideas of ways that the library can be more inclusive, feel free to come. This meeting is not limited to people with cognitive disabilities, dementia, or people on the autism spectrum- all are welcome to discuss inclusive programming.
Libraries are for everyone, and we want to meet all of our patrons’ needs. Refreshments will be available.
A survey for people who wish to give feedback but cannot attend the focus group is available. Click here to fill out the survey.
