Event Anti-Racism and Liberation Lecture Series: An Action Plan for Liberation- What does “do the work” mean? (VIRTUAL)

October 7, 2021 | 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

The Newburyport Public Library and the Amesbury Public Library are excited to be collaborating on a four part lecture series on Anti-Racism and Liberation.

In the third session of this series, Bobby Morgan and Dr. Kate Slater are back to dig more deeply into what it means to “do the work” in tandem with the process of unlearning and relearning. Using the Anti-Racist Roadmap as a template, they will speak about the importance of a reparations model in our activism and how liberation necessitates the redistribution of resources to uplift communities of color. The session will finish with a Q&A.

This event will be held on Zoom. Register online by clicking here or by calling 978-465-4428 x 242. Zoom emails a link to participants upon registration. If you do not receive a link, please 978-465-4428 x242.
