Archival Center Hours
The Archival Center is open from 9:00 -1:00 pm and 1:00 – 4:00 pm from Monday – Saturday. Please visit the second floor Reference Desk to arrange access by taking the elevator to 2R.
For the 12:00-1:00 pm and 4:00-5:00 pm time slots, please give one-week notice so that staff can schedule an appointment. The Newburyport Public Library is located at 94 State Street in downtown Newburyport.
From I95N
Take exit 86 and bear right onto Rt. 113 East, Storey Avenue.
From I95S
Take exit 86 and bear left onto Rt. 113 East, Storey Avenue.
Storey Avenue merges into High Street. Continue on High Street, take a left onto Green Street – the Superior Courthouse will be on your right. Follow Green Street one block, turn right onto Harris Street. Where Harris Street intersects with State Street, there is a municipal parking lot on the right. The Newburyport Public Library is on the left at 94 State Street.
